CBRE APPOINTS AMANDA CLACK AS HEAD OF STRATEGIC CONSULTING IN THE UK

CBRE has today announced the appointment of Amanda Clack as Head of Strategic Consulting and a member of the UK Board with effect from 1st October 2017. Amanda is the President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) effective until 7th November 2017 when she will hand over to the incoming President for 2017/18.

In her new role as Head of Strategic Consulting at CBRE, Amanda will work with CBRE public and private sector clients and with our teams across the UK to deliver major strategic consultancy projects utilising CBRE’s wide-ranging advisory, consultancy and transactional expertise across all market sectors and geographies.

Amanda has over 30 years’ experience in real estate, construction and infrastructure as well as board-level experience gained on strategic transformation assignments in the private sector and in government. She joins CBRE from EY where she was Partner and Head of Infrastructure within its advisory practice for UK & Ireland covering private and public sectors for transport, energy and assets as well as the cities agenda. Prior to this she was Partner at PwC where she led the south-east consultancy, as well as being the consulting lead for real estate and infrastructure.

Throughout her career and during her tenure as RICS President, Amanda has been a successful role model and agent of change for diversity and inclusion in the profession. In the past year, she has led several key initiatives and reports covering her themes on infrastructure, cities and the war for talent. In addition, she has just co-authored a book Diversity and Inclusion in the Real Estate Industry to be launched at ExpoREAL in October.

Amanda is a Fellow of the RICS, the Association of Project Management, the Institute of Consulting, the Institute of Management and the Royal Society of Arts and is a Certified Management Consultant and Companion of the Institute of Management. She was given a Success in Business Award by Anglia Ruskin University in 2013, won two industry Awards: Women of the Year 2015, and the Women in the City Woman of Achievement Award 2015 for Construction and Engineering, plus was announced by the ICAEW as a Mover and Shaker of 2015 in the ICAEW’s Global Finance 50, as well as having been named in City A.M.‘s Power 100 Women list 2016. She was a member of the All Parliamentary Group for Excellence in the Built Environment (APGEBE) as part of a Commission of Inquiry into Skills, plus is also a member of the Infrastructure Efficiency Challenge Panel advising the Department for Transport on the deliverability of infrastructure.
