CBRE has today announced the appointment of market-leading development expert Zoe Bignell to lead and spearhead the expansion of the Advisory team within its UK Development and Residential Capital Markets business.

Zoe Bignell is moving to CBRE from Cushman & Wakefield where she was an Equity Partner and Head of London Development. Zoe is a market-leading strategic advisor and development manager specialising in mixed-use development on behalf of a range of property companies, public bodies, house builders and pension funds.

During her 12 years at Cushman & Wakefield, Zoe advised on some of the capital’s highest profile redevelopment projects including Transport for London at Earls Court and North Greenwich, The United States Department of State on the disposal of the American Embassy in Grosvenor Square and the subsequent redevelopment of the new US Embassy at Nine Elms; Rio Tinto’s HQ development in in St James’s Square and the conversion of 33 Grosvenor Place, Belgravia from offices to a new private health care facility.

Zoe will jointly manage CBRE’s UK Development and UK Residential Capital Markets team together with Peter Burns who leads the team’s Transactional business. In her new role, Zoe will lead teams delivering a full suite of development Advisory services for clients across all asset classes throughout the UK.

CBRE’s 65-strong UK Development and Residential Capital Markets team operating from London and 11 UK regional offices, provides advisory and transaction solutions for property owners at every point in the property development life-cycle across all asset classes.

This key hire follows the recent appointment of Mark Clegg from Cluttons as a senior director within the UK Development and Residential Capital Markets team who will focus on advising clients on PRS development and investment, ground rents and research and design specialisms.
