CBRE GWS WINS 2016 FM TEAM OF THE YEAR WITH AA

CBRE GWS, working with the Automobile Association (AA), won ‘Team of the Year’ at the 2016 British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Awards announced in London on October 10.

The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) is the professional body for facilities management (FM). It supports and represents over 17,000 members, both individual FM professionals and organisations, and thousands more through qualifications and training. As the industry leading Awards, the BIFM Awards saw near 1,200 guests celebrate industry professionals across key themes of people, innovation and impact.

GWS' winning entry impressed the judges by embodying everything that makes a great team. Over the last three years, the FM team led by Pete Belmore and Tim Gilbert supported the organisation through a number of challenges, including floatation on the London Stock Exchange, relocation projects, opening offices outside the UK and implementing a number of sustainability and CSR initiatives. The judges noted that it “had gone beyond solid business as usual to deliver best practice and cutting-edge ideas”.

The winning team includes: Tim Gilbert, Account Director; Wendy Meakin, Lindsay McEwan, Robert Bell and Lucy Hall, all FM; Simon Redfearn, Energy Manager and Lee Blofield, Project Manager

Congratulations to everyone involved!
