CBRE RE-APPOINTED ON HER MAJESTY’S PALACE & FORTRESS, TOWER OF LONDON CONTRACT

Global real estate advisor CBRE has been re-appointed to provide Mechanical and Electrical Services (M&E) for the Tower of London. CBRE has held the contract for seventeen years and has now been re-appointed for a further five years.

Under the mandate terms, CBRE will continue to deliver day-to-day M&E services.

Built by William the Conqueror in 1078, the historic castle sits on the north bank of the River Thames in Central London and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A grand palace early in its history, the Tower is a complex of several buildings set within concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat. It is recognised as one of London’s most iconic landmarks and attracts millions of visitors from across the globe each year.

HM Tower of London has been a site full of innovation from the ancient weaponry craft “Flintlock Musket” to housing one of the first Hydraulic Pumping Station, through to LED lighting and more recently fully modulating Boiler burner arrangements. As a result HM Tower of London has been afforded with a greener footprint and energy savings without comprising the historic heritage of the landmark.

The Tower of London is one of the UK’s most iconic buildings and we are delighted to have been re-appointed to provide M&E Services. We have a long standing relationship with the client and take great pleasure in ensuring the continued efficiency and smooth running of the building.
