ALLOYMTD ACHIEVES UNANIMOUS APPROVAL FROM LB OF HACKNEY FOR ONE CROWN PLACE DEVELOPMENT

Adrian Bunnis, Executive Director, Central London Development
We are extremely pleased to have achieved this key milestone for AlloyMtd. The scheme will retain the locally listed Georgian terraces and street facing elements of the Victorian warehouse whilst incorporating two new tall buildings within the development. This design will ensure that One Crown Place creates a prestigious new destination for the people of Shoreditch.

AlloyMtd, advised by CBRE, has achieved planning consent for a new mixed use development at One Crown Place EC2, obtaining a unanimous vote from the London borough of Hackney Planning Sub-Committee.

Designed by leading architects KPF, One Crown Place in Shoreditch West is set to deliver a world-class development featuring 142,000 sq ft (NIA) of prime office space, catering to the area’s thriving tech sector. Additionally, the development will house 247 residential units and a hotel and leisure facilities.

Dato Azmil Khalid, President and CEO of AlloyMtd Group said:

“We’re delighted that Hackney members see One Crown Place providing positive benefits to this part of London including new jobs and workspaces, additional housing provision with a big contribution for affordable homes as well as creating a brand new destination for Shoreditch.”

In addition to new office and residential units, One Crown Place provides a contribution of £8m towards new affordable homes in the borough as well as a large number of new cycle parking spaces.
