CB Richard Ellis Has Multi Award Win at Office Development Awards

London – 26 October 2009 – CB Richard Ellis deals and developments won in multiple categories at the 2009 Office Development Awards on 20th October at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.The awards recognise the most innovative and thriving deals and developments in the office property market and were judged on attributes such as size and profitability.

23 Savile Row, London was recognised as West End Development of the Year and the pre let of 40 Portman Square won West End Deal of the Year. The West End Agency team achieved market leading rents on both developments, £115 p/sq ft for 40 Portman Square on behalf of Standard Life and Delancey and £93 p/sq ft for 23 Savile Row on behalf of D2 Private. In addition, the West End Investment team sold the former on behalf of Standard Life Investments for £142M, making it the largest transaction in the West End since December 2007.

CB Richard Ellis’s City Agency and Office Agency teams also contributed to the following winning deals and developments:

60 Threadneedle Street won City Development of the Year. It is now over 77% let with tenants including The Toronto-Dominion Bank, Talbot Underwriting, Universities Superannuation Scheme and Berenberg Bank.

Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi’s 186,518 sq ft pre let at British Land’s Ropemaker won City Deal of the Year.

The Pinnacle : MK won the Sustainable Achievement category for it’s strong green credentials, including being the first large commercial office development in Milton Keyes to achieve a BREEAM rating of Excellent and an EPC energy rating of A. The building secured two pre lets for approximately 50% of the scheme prior to commencing on site.
