CB Richard Ellis reinforces Leeds team with a quartet of new appointments

Leeds based commercial property service provider, CB Richard Ellis has strengthened its capital markets (formerly investment), residential development and valuation teams with four appointments at its King Street offices.

Mike Jones, associate director and Adam Jennings, a graduate surveyor, have joined the capital markets team while surveyor Mark Bagshaw, is a new addition to the residential development department, Victoria Gordon, joins valuation as a graduate surveyor.

Originally from Harrogate and joining CBRE from DTZ, Mike Jones will assist in the acquisition and sale of commercial property for CBRE’s clients across Yorkshire and the North East.

Mike, 33, began his career as a graduate in the London office of DTZ in 1999 before making a move back up to Yorkshire to become associate director at DTZ in 2005.

He said: “I am looking forward to participating in future significant transactions and helping maintain CBRE’s position as one of the principal investment teams in Leeds.”

Graduate surveyor, Adam Jennings, will also join the capital markets team having recently completed an MSc in property appraisal and management at Sheffield Hallam University Adam returns to the profession having spent a number of years in business with BUPA and within the telecommunications industry.

Joining residential development from GVA Grimley, is Mark Bagshaw, 35. He began his career in 2003 as a graduate surveyor with Lambert Smith Hampton before moving to GVA Grimley as an assistant surveyor.

Mark said: “Joining CBRE is a chance to work with one of the best residential development teams in Yorkshire. My role will involve advising clients on land acquisitions and disposal for residential developments.”

Completing the quartet is graduate, Victoria Gordon, who has a BSc in estate management from Northumbria University. During her studies she completed a year’s sandwich placement at RMS Commercial in Newcastle where she was involved with commercial agency and valuation.

Charlie Wardroper, managing director of CBRE Leeds, said: “These appointments are great news for the Leeds office and I’m thrilled to have everyone aboard. Their combined knowledge and skills will undoubtedly make them major assets to our team and will enable us to develop several key areas of our business in the region.”

Outside of work, the new recruits are keen sportspeople. Mike Jones names his biggest personal achievement as completing the London Marathon, while Mark Bagshaw is a keen mountain biker and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
