CB Richard Ellis Strengthens Management in the North

London, 12 October 2010 – CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has strengthened its management team in the North of England with three new senior promotions. Christine Hanson has become Chair of CBRE for the North, with John Ogden appointed as Managing Director CBRE for Manchester and Richard Sunderland appointed Managing Director in Leeds.

Christine was previously Managing Director for CBRE in the North West and John was previously Managing Director of CBRE’s Leeds office. The North includes CBRE’s offices in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield.

Martin Samworth, Managing Director, CB Richard Ellis UK, said: “Christine has been with the company for 27 years and by stepping up to the newly-created role of Chair of CBRE in the North, she will bring her vast experience and knowledge of the business and local market to bear. John has done a remarkable job in our Leeds office, excellently supported by Richard Sunderland, and I know he will bring with him great expertise to lead the company’s offer in Manchester.”

Tom Davis and Howard George, currently Senior Directors in CBRE’s Industrial teams in Manchester and Liverpool respectively, will be leaving the business in November.

Christine Hanson, Chair, CB Richard Ellis North, said: “I would like to thank Tom and Howard for their contributions to CBRE and wish them all the best for the future. CBRE’s industrial capabilities in the North are already recognised as market leading with a good team already in place, and with the acquisition of M3 earlier this year we have further strengthened our presence in this sector in our region.”
