CBRE Advises SIGNA on the Selection of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as Operator for the Iconic Hotel Bauer in Venice
Global real estate advisor, CBRE, has advised SIGNA Group, an Austrian investment and property management company specializing in the real estate, media and retail sectors, on the selection of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts hotel chain to manage the iconic Hotel Bauer in Venice. CBRE also advised on the management contract negotiation.
Hotel Bauer is situated in a superb location close to San Marco Square, along the prestigious Calle Larga XXII Marzo, with a spectacular view of the Grand Canal and Punta della Dogana. Thanks to its unique architecture, it combines the Gothic-Byzantine style typical of the Venetian Lagoon with a rationalist style. Additionally, it offers one of the most beautiful 360º views of the city and the asset is known as one of the most stunning historical hotels in the world.
The Bauer Hotel will undergo a total renovation to raise the quality of the property to the highest luxury standards, as well as to enrich guests' stay with unique and exclusive experiences as a result of renewed catering areas, luxury retail and a new wellness area, aiming to become the biggest and best-in-class in Venice.
This selection process, involving an incredibly established and highly regarded hotel, adds another pearl to the Italian ultra-luxury market following the recent negotiation processes which we have overseen for luxury brands in both Rome and Milan.
This deal is confirmation of the significant interest from hotel chains for the Italian Market, especially those operating in the ultra-luxury segment.
