CBRE APPOINTED TO MANAGE THE HELICON IN LONDON

CBRE, the global real estate advisor, has been appointed by China Overseas Land and Investment Limited, to provide day-to-day property management services to the 225, 000 sq ft Helicon, in the City of London.

The Helicon is a prestigious mixed used building providing 119, 000 sq ft of modern, open plan office space spanning seven floors, 1 to 8 respectively. Alongside this, the building is punctuated with a number of prime retail units across the ground and first floors.

Initially designed in 1996, the Helicon underwent significant renovation in 2013 by renowned architects Sheppard Robson singling it out as a key landmark in the heart of the city. CBRE will be responsible for day-to-day property management of the building and will work as an extension of China Overseas Land and Investment Limited’s team to ensure a first class service is delivered to its occupiers.

This appointment adds to CBRE’s existing suite of Premier Properties in the City of London including the Lord Foster’s designed 100 Wood Street and the grade 2 listed No. 1 Finsbury Circus.

The property management industry continues to evolve. We are seeing shifts in the ownership make-up of buildings nationwide, particularly in London, with an influx of capital from a plethora of overseas investors. A prime example of this is the Helicon building which, as a result of such investment, has transformed from a first class building into an iconic one. We look forward to working with the team at China Overseas and Investments Limited to ensure the Helicon retains, and builds on, its prime status by providing a service which will add true value.
