CBRE APPOINTED TO MANAGE THE NEW AGE ALPHABETA BUILDING

CBRE, the global real estate advisor, has been appointed by real estate development firm, Sinarmas Land Limited, to provide day-to-day property management services to the 240,000 sq ft Alphabeta Building, in London.

The Alphabeta building, previously known as Triton Court, has undergone substantial renovation and refurbishment by contemporary architects Studio RHE in recent years. Today, its striking design represents innovative thinking for new ways of working. Located in ‘Tech City’ at the intersection of Silicon Roundabout, Shoreditch and the City, the building sits in the hub of a burgeoning heartland known for creative and commercial invention across the capital.

The building itself has eight floors of adaptable single or multi-tenanted office space, with a combination of modern finishes and historical architecture. At nine storeys high, it boasts a dramatic central atrium which shapes the lobby and the various informal meeting places it overlooks. The eighth floor terrace – also known as The Deck - provides panoramic views across the city, and at ground level the highest sustainability credentials are upheld with the ride-in-cycle facilities on offer. The “cycle-friendly” approach to work provides a dedicated entrance and ramp at the centerpiece of the building allowing cyclists to ride directly in.

As part of the creative and commercial invention, occupiers of the building are encouraged to use the new estate management technology provided by Locale Ltd. The cloud-based portal ensures deliveries, maintenance, bookings, and staff schedules all communicate with each other instantly, seamlessly and efficiently.

In July 2015, CBRE’s Central London Investment Properties team advised Sinarmas Land regarding the purchase of the building from its previous owner, Resolution Property, in a £280m deal. The acquisition represented Sinarmas Land’s third and largest acquisition in London.

Following its refurbishment the Alphabeta building has attracted huge publicity for its top class innovative facilities including its ‘ride-in-cycle’ design. As a result, the perception of how an office must look, feel and operate is changing. The forward thinking features on offer, act as an enabler ensuring the building continues to attract an eclectic mix of media, technology and financial services organisations to take-up residence. We look forward to working on behalf of Sinarmas Land to continue to improve the occupier experience with the introduction of new facilities and services. This will ensure the building retains, and builds on, its premier status.
