CBRE appoints Benjamin Rouah to lead Strategic Advisory, Corporate Finance across Continental Europe
CBRE Capital Advisors has appointed Benjamin Rouah as an Executive Director and Head of Strategic Advisory across Continental Europe.
Benjamin joins from J.P. Morgan where he was an Executive Director and has over 17 years’ experience working in real estate corporate finance in London, Paris and New York. He was most recently responsible for developing the real estate investment banking division at J.P. Morgan in France and Belgium, and has a wealth of experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, restructuring, sale and leasebacks and IPOs.
Based in Paris, Benjamin will be responsible for developing CBRE’s Strategic Advisory capabilities across Continental Europe, with a particular focus on M&A and other corporate finance opportunities. He will be working closely with the established UK based team, led by Tim Ryan, as well as strengthening CBRE’s Capital Markets offering in France and helping to generate new opportunities in this market. Benjamin will start in September.
Over the past two years, CBRE’s Strategic Advisory team, has advised on a number of high-profile transactions, including the creation of a £1.8bn science and technology joint venture for Bruntwood, the £370m sale of db Symmmetry, the UK’s largest logistics development platform and most recently the €1.1bn acquisition of Northstar Realty Europe for AXA. The team forms part of CBRE Capital Advisors’ wider Corporate Finance capability, which includes Debt Advisory, Corporate Capital Markets and Equity Placement.
