CBRE AWARDED TOTAL FM CONTRACT FOR ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS

Following a competitive tender, global real estate advisor CBRE has been appointed to provide a total FM contract for the Royal College of Physicians.

Founded in 1518 by a Royal Charter from King Henry VIII, the Royal College of Physicians of London (RCP) is the professional membership body for physicians, with over 33,000 members and fellows both in the UK and across the globe. Patient centred and clinically led, the RCP works to drive improvement in the diagnosis of disease, the care of individual patients and the health of the whole population.

CBRE will be initially looking after the RCP’s award-winning and Grade I listed 60s modernist headquarters in London, designed by Sir Denys Lasdun, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014. Many thousands of people use and visit the building each year, as in addition to hosting medical meetings, exams, lectures and other RCP activities, the building is an award-winning venue with superb conference, meeting and exhibition spaces.

Under the mandate terms, CBRE will cover mechanical and electrical services, cleaning, security and event logistics. The contract is for five years, with the option to extend for a further three years.

We are delighted to have been awarded this contract, in what is the first time that the College has outsourced its FM. We look forward to working collaboratively with the College to provide a holistic and timely service.
Pete Belmore, , Business Unit Director at CBRE
