CBRE Data Centre Solutions’ Hannah Ormondroyd appointed as chair of Infrastructure Masons Diversity and Inclusion committee

Infrastructure Masons (iM), a global association of technologists and executives dedicated to advancing the digital infrastructure industry, has announced the appointment of Hannah Ormondroyd as the Chair of its Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) committee.

As the leader of the People function for CBRE Data Centre Solutions (DCS), Ms. Ormondroyd is responsible for building and delivering programs and processes to improve organisational and people performance, engagement and employee experience in the workplace. She also leads strategic projects that drive organisational effectiveness and talent acquisition as part of the DCS Executive Committee. Ms. Ormondroyd has been with CBRE for more than six years and has a long history of service to people strategies and the human resources field.

As Chair of the D&I Committee, Ms. Ormondroyd will steer and coordinate the activities of the newly formed iM Member Resource Groups (MRGs) for Women, Millennials, Veterans, and Hispanic and Latinx professionals. The groups foster communities where members feel a sense of belonging and share a desire to create positive change within the digital infrastructure industry.

Ms. Ormondroyd will continue to reinforce the mission of iMasons, which is to “unite the builders of the digital age,” and to bridge the D&I talent gap by raising awareness, providing scholarship opportunities, and creating supportive networks.

“We are thrilled that Ms. Ormondroyd has accepted the Chair position for the iMasons Global D&I Committee,” said Dean Nelson, Founder and Chairman of iMasons. “Her broad experience, proven leadership, and passion for D&I will help steer our strategy and guide our Member Resource Groups to achieve their goals.”

“It is an honour to chair the Infrastructure Masons Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which will enrich the data centre and digital infrastructure community,” said Ms. Ormondroyd. “I am looking forward to working with Dean Nelson and the board to be representative of the iM members and build a more inclusive and diverse workplace to keep us innovating.”

In June 2019, iMasons hosted its inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Gala at Datacloud Monaco. CBRE DCS, supported by Ms. Ormondroyd’s leadership and keynote delivery, raised significant funds for the association’s scholarship program for women.

Before her role with CBRE, Ms. Ormondroyd realised her true passion for championing D&I while she served on the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) in 2011. Ms. Ormondroyd was inspired by the team’s tremendous diversity. She states that the most meaningful conversations and creativity surfaced during her time there.
