CBRE HIRES PRS DEBT EXPERT, CHIARA ZUCCON, TO UK DEVELOPMENT & RESIDENTIAL CAPITAL MARKETS TEAM
The world’s leading real estate advisor, CBRE, has appointed Chiara Zuccon as a Senior Director to spearhead debt origination within its market leading Development and Residential Investment team.
Chiara is joining from the Royal Bank of Scotland where she was Head of Private Rented Sector and was responsible for the deployment of £1 billion of senior lending across the UK. She brings with her a wealth of experience and market knowledge, having worked in the Structured Finance team before specialising in the Build to Rent sector. More recently she has led work around the student housing, co-living and retirement sectors. Earlier this year she was nominated by Brummel as one of its ‘30 Ones to Watch’, celebrating the performance and achievement of the City’s brightest young talent.
In her new role, Chiara will work jointly with CBRE’s UK development team, which is led by Peter Burns and Zoe Bignell, and the Debt and Structured Finance team, led by Paul Coates, to help clients across the Residential Capital Markets and Development land teams source and structure their debt requirements.
Chiara’s appointment marks the latest in a number of high profile corporate finance professionals who have moved into a specialist advisory role at the real estate firm, further strengthening CBRE’s service offer for an increasing number of clients seeking corporate finance expertise. This includes Richard Day, most recently, who is driving debt origination and advisory within CBRE’s London Investment team, along with Coates himself who moved from RBS earlier this year.
Chiara’s expertise in the UK PRS space will strengthen our offering immeasurably, providing another advisory capability that negates the need for clients to seek advice elsewhere. CBRE offers integrated solutions and an unrivalled breadth and depth of services under one roof across the whole Development and Residential Capital Markets spectrum
We are delighted to welcome Chiara into the team. In the current market, clients are increasingly looking for optionality around transactions and want combined real estate and financial solutions. We now have our market leading Development and Residential Capital Markets team working hand in hand with corporate finance experts, which I believe is a powerful proposition for our clients.
