Chris Connelly to lead CBRE's America's Advisory services and Emma Buckland to oversee Global Property Management

CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that Chris Connelly has been named CEO, Advisory Services, Americas, and Emma Buckland will be promoted to Global President, Property Management, a position previously held by Mr. Connelly.

Mr. Connelly, a 15-year veteran of CBRE, will lead a sector-leading business encompassing more than 18,000 employees across the Capital Markets, Advisory & Transaction Services, Advisory Project Management, Property Management and Valuations business lines in the United States, Canada and Latin America. He has held numerous leadership roles at CBRE, most recently serving as Global President, Property Management. Previously, he served as President of the Americas Mountain-Northwest Division, President of the Midwest Division, and Executive Managing Director of the Chicago Region.

“Chris has successfully managed the full spectrum of our Advisory Services offering and our business has thrived under his leadership. He will help us take our Americas Advisory Services business to the next level of success,” said Mike Lafitte, Global CEO, Advisory Services.

In her new role, Ms. Buckland will directly lead the Americas Property Management business and oversee a global business that manages a portfolio of more than 2.7 billion square feet. She previously led CBRE’s Property Management business for the United Kingdom. Prior to joining CBRE in 2016, she led EMEA Operations for FICO, a NYSE-listed analytics company, and Goldman Sachs, where she managed a client-facing operations team in the European Securities division.

Mr. Connelly will assume his new role effective immediately, and will also continue as Global President of Property Management until Ms. Buckland assumes her new role on January 1, 2020.
