Clients welcomes to new offices. Neville Thompson celebrates 25 years

Having completed its much-heralded move to new offices in Ocean Village, commercial property consultants CB Richard Ellis invited clients to its newly refurbished building to see for themselves the huge transformation undertaken in recent weeks. Having viewed the new offices, clients then gathered at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club to enjoy the evening.

At the start of the evening’s proceedings, CB Richard Ellis’ Regional Chairman Julian Shellard presented Neville Thompson with a gift to celebrate Neville’s 25 years’ continued service, initially with Austin & Wyatt Commercial which became Austin Adams in 1991 and now is CBRE.

Neville Thompson, Managing Director of the Company’s Southampton Regional Office commented:
“25 years ago, Southampton was a south coast city devoid of life or heart in the city centre after 6pm, with little to no high quality city centre developments. It has been substantially transformed in to a vibrant city with a thriving population and commerce enjoying excellent city life, both day and night.

“The waterfront has also seen significant redevelopment, which along with the establishment of West Quay Shopping Centre has raised Southampton’s profile and it now ranks in the top 15 UK cities. In addition, the major office and industrial developments along of the M27 corridor have changed the commercial property landscape beyond recognition from the early 1980s.

‘Tuesday night’s event was a marvelous opportunity for us to thank our clients, new and old, for their continued support, which has led to our success and growth. In the last month alone we have appointed a further three surveyors and the fact we advise and act for the very best clients on high quality property and schemes in the region, means we are able to attract the best staff - so we really do owe it all to our clients The feedback from them on our new client suite and the evening’s hospitality at the Yacht club has already been very positive.‘
