Deka sells Marcel Thiry 83

The investment branch of the Deka group has sold its building on the Avenue Marcel Thiry 83 to the Ghent developer Immogra

The building with a total surface of 11,500 sqm is located in the heart of the major project “Marcel Thiry-Pleiades”.

This reconversion scheme from the Brussels-Capital Region stimulates the conversion of office buildings for residential use and encourages building new housing.

Deka granted the mandate for the sale of the property Avenue Marcel Thiry 83 to Real Estate Agent CBRE in July of 2011.

The building complex, formerly assigned to office use, turned out to be the ideal candidate for reconversion into residential use. In this area, several office buildings had already been reconverted into various types of residencies such as retirement homes (like f.e. the former headquarters of media group RTL-TVI), hotels and housing estates.

In the end, it was the reconversion project for housing by residential developer Immogra which was favored by Deka.

Sandra Gottcheiner: “This project for reconversion into housing allows for the surfaces to be used to their fullest potential and at the requested sales price.”

Immogra is a company with more than 45 years of experience in this sector and has realized over 3,500 projects already. Currently, the developer has several projects ongoing in the area and more specifically between the Avenue Marcel Thiry and the Avenue de Calabre "les Calabria".
