Take-up Reached 1.5m sq ft – the Highest Level Since March

The occupational market gained momentum after a poor August with take-up levels reaching 1.5m sq ft - the highest level since March. Under offers fell to below trend levels in a sign that sentiment may be weakening.

• Take-up was higher across all markets, particularly the City.
• Availability reached 15.4m sq ft - 5.8m sq ft lower than the recent peak set in Q2 2009.
• Active demand fell to 9.1m sq ft – the lowest level since the start of the year.
