ALDERMORE TO MOVE LONDON HQ TO BROADGATE TOWER

Aldermore is pleased to announce it will be moving to its new London headquarters at Broadgate Tower in the City of London which will open to colleagues in mid-May 2023. It comes just months after a new strategy was announced and marks a milestone in the new direction the bank is taking.

Aldermore will occupy the 24th floor in a specially designed space which will cover 13,174 sq.ft. and will be open to around 150 of its London employees.

Aldermore, which provides finance to business owners, homeowners, and landlords, while offering award-winning savings accounts, has been located near Bank station since 2021. The relocation will allow more space for employees, provide a high-quality area suitable for better project collaboration and access to better facilities which will encourage more people back into the office post-pandemic. The new office is located next to Liverpool Street Station and is minutes from Shoreditch with panoramic views of the City.

The new office will offer a business lounge and barista area, gym, wellbeing spaces and, cutting-edge technology to support collaborative working.

The design concept

The office design reflects that Aldermore’s parent is a large African financial services group, FirstRand, and has been shaped around the building’s architecture. The space will reflect the different landscapes of Africa, executed through elements of dispersion, textures, patterns, forms, lighting and planting species found on the continent. This will all be complemented by unique South African artwork displayed throughout the offices.

Duncan McIntyre, HR and Real Estate Director at Aldermore said: “Last year we launched a new, ambitious growth strategy for Aldermore and so we’re happy to announce that as we take a fresh direction we’re moving to a bright, new, high-end office for our London HQ.

“It’s important to us that we invest in our people and make Aldermore a great place to work. Our new home – which will have a South African feel to reflect the heritage of our parent company – will allow more colleagues to come together in person and build great new services and products for our customers.”
