CBRE has made two senior hires into Property Management in the UK. Carl Brooks has joined as Head of Sustainability, and Jonathan Podmore has joined as Head of Portfolio Management. 

New Head of Sustainability Carl Brooks will be responsible for establishing sustainability as a key service line within Property Management and a core competence amongst all employees working within Property and Facilities Management. He will also ensure that CBRE is leveraging its position as managing agent to effect change in the performance of all assets under management, with regard to environmental and social responsibility.

Having previously been at property management company MAPP, Carl brings over 20 years’ of experience as a sustainability professional – 12 of which have been spent in the real estate sector. Whilst at MAPP, Carl developed and implemented a framework to ensure sustainability became a core competency across all functions within the business. This approach considered the environmental and social performance of corporate operations, as well as that of clients and all properties and funds under management.

New Head of Portfolio Management Jonathan Podmore has joined to bring additional senior leadership to the Portfolio Management business line within Property Management. He will build on the existing team and bring complementary skills to drive the service offering forward. Jon will also provide oversight on existing key client relationships.

Joining from BNP Paribas Real Estate, Jon brings with him an excellent track record of success spanning almost two decades. Whilst at BNP Paribas Real Estate, Jon grew the National Portfolio Management Team through client and business development, including winning a large national mandate for one of the UKs largest investors. Jonathan gained appointment to the LGIM Management Agent Panel and was responsible for the management and growth of fees for BNP Paribas Real Estate's biggest client and the portfolio team from 0.5M to 2M.
