CBRE bolsters Life Sciences expertise with key hire

Global real estate advisor, CBRE, has appointed Life Sciences real estate expert, Emma Stratton as a Director in its Life Sciences transactions team. Emma will focus on landlord agency, covering the London and Cambridge markets, and will be responsible for driving transactional growth and market presence for CBRE in the UK Life Sciences market. She will be working closely with Chris Williams, in the Life Sciences Occupier Advisory team and Luke Hacking and Jeremy Rodale in London & South East Investor Leasing.

Emma joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was a Partner in the Life Sciences and Specialist Markets practice for the UK & Ireland. She brings with her a wealth of leasing, pre-letting and development consultancy experience, having advised on some of the biggest Life Science projects in the UK as well as Central London developments. Recent projects include providing strategic leasing advice to Canary Wharf Group when establishing their joint venture with Kadans Science Partner to build a 750,000 sq ft speculative development at North Quay, the retained leasing advisor to Magdalen College and GIC on Oxford Science Park and working with GSK to select a development partner to create a new 1m sq ft Life Sciences campus and ecosystem.

CBRE’s UK Life Sciences team has been involved in some of the largest transactions in the sector to date, having advised GIC on the acquisition of a 75% stake in Tribeca, London King’s Cross, are appointed as the sole leasing agent on Milton Park, a 3 million sq ft science, technology and business space park in Oxfordshire and have been appointed by Brockton to advise on the leasing strategy of their new innovation campus in North Cambridge. Most recently, CBRE has been appointed as leasing advisors on Cambridge Research Park and Vison Park by RLAM.

Emma’s depth of knowledge, outstanding client relationships and market expertise will be a huge asset to our rapidly growing transactional Life Sciences team. She will work closely with our market leading team of specialists to seek out opportunities for our clients across London and Cambridge in a sector that is seeing exponential growth and demand.
