CBRE Group broadens EMEA management structure

CBRE Group announced that it has made a number of changes to its management structure in EMEA which will be effective as of 1st of January 2013.

Michael Strong, Executive Chairman & CEO, EMEA, commented:
“Our EMEA business is more diverse than ever before. As we expand our reach and the services we deliver to clients, the infrastructure required to manage our growing operations successfully and efficiently increases. We have therefore made a number of important changes to broaden and enhance our management structure in EMEA to ensure our absolute focus on providing the best service to clients in every territory we operate.”

Martin Samworth has been appointed to the newly created role of Managing Director, EMEA where he will oversee the management of CBRE’s operations across the region. Mr. Samworth is currently Managing Director of CBRE’s UK and Nordic businesses.

Mr. Strong will remain Executive Chairman of CBRE in EMEA retaining full responsibility for the region, with focus on the strategic direction and development of the EMEA business. Mr. Strong has committed to this role for a minimum of three years.

Ciaran Bird has been appointed as Managing Director of CBRE’s UK business.

Stephen Hubbard, who is currently responsible for EMEA Capital Markets and is also Chairman of the UK’s Real Estate Finance team, steps up to the role of UK Chairman with particular responsibility for client service and industry affairs.

The new appointments take effect from 1 January 2013.
