HANA LAUNCHES ITS LONDON PRESENCE WITH THREE PLANNED LOCATIONS

Hana, a subsidiary of CBRE Group, Inc., today announced its first three planned UK flexible workspace locations in London at 70 St Mary Axe, expected to open in late 2019; 245 Hammersmith, expected to also open in late 2019; and St Martin’s Court, initially to be fully occupied by 500 CBRE employees.

At 70 St Mary Axe, Hana will partner with the iconic property’s owner, global investment manager Nuveen Real Estate, to create a dynamic, flexible workspace. Conceived as a new icon for London, 70 St Mary Axe has a distinctive, elegantly curved shape, making it instantly recognizable. The interior benefits from 360° panoramic glass, offering some of the most enviable views in London. Hana will occupy the entire second, third and fourth floors as well as operating a lounge space which connects to a retail and events space via a dramatic eight meter helical staircase. All tenants in the building will have access to the retail, events and lounge spaces, as well as a suite of Hana flexible solutions, Hana Meet and Hana Share.

Peter Neal, Director of Offices for Nuveen Real Estate, commented: “We are excited to be working with Hana to bring flexible working to the building, with the partnership forming the central part of the enhanced amenity provision for occupiers at 70 St Mary Axe. Occupiers will have access to the full range of flexible working solutions provided by Hana, together with the tenant’s lounge, retail and events spaces. This offer complements the other amenities at the building designed to enhance the occupier experience, all relating to health and wellbeing, lifestyle and productivity. We are delighted that Hana shares our vision for the building and we look forward to working with the Hana team.”

Hana has also partnered with LGIM Real Assets (Legal & General) and Mitsubishi Estate for its planned 245 Hammersmith location, a 242,000 sq ft landmark new development which includes a public plaza and an urban Park, as well as retail and restaurants. Inside, the architectural windows provide natural light to enhance mood and increase productivity. Hana will occupy the first and second floors which will include an outdoor patio.

Simon Wilkes, Head of Business Space Development, LGIM Real Assets, said: “Hana and 245 Hammersmith share a common vision, to utilise smart and thoughtful design in order to positively impact how people work. Hana will be an excellent addition to the property, and we look forward to working with them to add value to both the building and all its tenants.”

Hana’s third facility, St Martin’s Court, has been established in partnership with the landlord Oxford Properties. Located next to St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the City of London, the office element of the property comprises over 100,000 sq ft. The Hana facility will initially be fully occupied by approximately 500 CBRE employees who will operate from the space while the company’s existing UK headquarters at Henrietta House in the West End is undergoing redevelopment work. Hana at St Martin’s Court will become available to other occupants in early 2021.

Andrew Kupiec, CEO of Hana said: “We are delighted to launch Hana in the UK with three superb buildings, all of which provide a perfect fit for our unique solution – creating flexible workspaces that are designed to meet the needs of high-growth and enterprise companies as well as provide more transparency and upside for the property owners. We’re looking forward to making these locations showpieces for our growing global network.”

Since launching the company in late 2018, Hana has also announced its first two US locations, in Dallas, Texas and Irvine, California.
